The Day is finally here!

Arrived in Galveston, yesterday, November 9th and checked into the Harbor House here at Pier 21.

Our ship will be docked just a six minute walk away from the hotel.  (We tested it out today).  Pete, Faith and I checked out the port today.  Michael arrives later this evening.

Then we went to dinner at the Fisherman's Wharf.  I had a great meal of grilled shrimp.

Since we all had very little sleep the night before (election returns), I was back to the room around 7 p.m. and watched tv and the Port of Galveston webcam to see if there was any movement on the Disney Wonder sighting.  No such luck.  Pretty quiet out there.  I figure the ship will now come in around 6 a.m. in the morning.

I woke up at 3.  No ship.  Michael forgot to turn off his auto alarm, so I woke up at 4.  No ship.  Then the alarm went off again at 5.  No ship.  Then I woke up at 5:55 on my own and I looked out the window and saw the AFT of the Disney Wonder outside the hotel.  So Michael and I ran down just in time to get pictures of the Disney Wonder pulling into port for the first time in Galveston for the re-imagining.  It was 5:59 a.m.

We head back to the room and Michael starts putting together his streamers for sailaway today.  There is chance of rain sometime today.  It is suppose to warm up to the high 60's.

Now getting ready for breakfast and then headed to the ship.  Hopefully we will get to board early and our staterooms will be ready.  Time will tell.

That's it for now!
