Another day at Sea! I
love sea days on the ships and today is no exception. The weather is absolutely beautiful.
After a quick breakfast, it is time for the Castaway Club
Celebration. I would say there are
probably about 50 guests today for the party.
Captain Robert talks about the dry dock and takes questions. He did mention that due to privacy laws he
could not talk about the medical evacuation that occurred last night, but did
say that DCL’s number one priority is always the safety and care of the guests
on board. He stated that based on the
location of the ship, it was imperative that he turn the ship around to get the
guest taken to the hospital. I am always
impressed with Disney’s view of the guest coming first in this situation. Nice to know if I ever have a medical
emergency on board and it is possible to get me off the ship, that they will
take the necessary steps to do so.
Captain Robert also said that we will be about 1 hour late
arriving in Cozumel, but he will extend the all aboard time by one hour so we
have the same amount of time in port.
After the Castaway Club Celebration we spend the whole
afternoon at the Quiet Cove Pool because the sun in shining and it is a warm
day. The Quiet Cove pool is the warmest
I have ever experienced. It felt like
bath water. Just perfect for me!
Tonight in the Walt Disney Theater is Doctor Strange. For those with smaller children Pete’s Dragon
is showing in the Buena Vista Theater.
Immediately after the movie it is time for the Pirates in
the Caribbean Party on Deck 9. The party
begins at 7:30 with fireworks at approximately 8 p.m. The moon is beautiful again tonight.
After the fireworks I finally run into my friend Gabriella!
Dinner is in Animator’s Palate with the Pirate menu. No longer on the menu, but I was able to get
the Buccaneer’s Sun Ripened Pineapple by ordering it the night before with my
head server.
After dinner it was off to Azure. Tonight the adult show is The Music &
Comedy of Christina Bianco. I have taken
some pictures of Azure at night so you can see how beautiful the new nightclub
is at night. Following Christina is Krazy
Karaoke.
It is almost midnight, so back to the room to work on the
blog.
My towel animal awaits my arrival to the stateroom tonight.
